A Couple of Days in Somerset

We took a short trip to Somerset to visit the village of East Lyng where my Mother's Great Granfather, Francis Phillips was born.  According to the Census information he was a farmer who lived on the main road through East Lyng.  East Lyng is a small village on the Somerset levels not very far from Athelney (where, reputedly, King Alfred the Greast burned the cakes)
