Visiting and re-visiting some gardens

Over the last few weeks we have been re-visiting some favourite gardens to see what is new now that spring has been left behind and we are well into Summer.  So far this summer has been exceptionally wet with not as many sunny days as we would like, but, like all the rest of the population we have to put up with it and make the best of it!

Either a Cider Press or Millstone being used as a garden feature at Cotehele
Apples starting to form in the Orchard at Cotehele

The Garden House near Bucland Monochorum in Devon.  We last visited this garden in April and we wanted to see what it was like in July.  It rained for most of the time we were here.

Two views in the walled garden

The entrance to the tower - one of the few relics of the 15th century rectory which once stood on this spot

Thistles and other plants
We also revisited Greenway House in June which is on the River Dart between Dartmouth and Totnes. Following are three Garden Features which jumped out to be photographed
 A sundial
 A bird sculpture
 A statue of Buddha
There are many ways to get to Greenway including an antique bus from Torbay and the ferry from Dartmouth (which was a chosen way of getting there)
